Ok need to put some thoughts out there about the new Amazon prime show Class of ‘07 bc I’m still here chewing on it. This has spoilers so I’ll try to do a cut thing (sorry still new to actually posting on tumblr lol). I think I want to just talk about the ending in this post.

Okay, I actually really loved the ending of s1, and it took me a second to understand why it felt like such a familiar experience. Like I’ve never had to live through an apocalypse where I am trapped with people from my high school on our old school grounds which is now just an island (thankfully, and knock on wood that never happens). But seeing all the women running to the cliff side with excitement thinking that maybe someone has come to save/help them, and then realizing very quickly that what is coming is not going to be their salvation…

Like something about that experience just felt very familiar and such a woman experience. I feel like I can’t be the only one who has had this type of experience where you think maybe it might be nice to have someone else around for their help, and it is a man, so you try to keep an open mind, but literally the moment they open their mouths, you regret it and immediately have to go back to defensive mode. Like seeing all the women pick up rocks and their knives as these men are yelling at them to “fire up their stoves,” that just tore me apart (but in an emotionally compelling way which is why I actually really did like that ending). I don’t think I’m saying anything that relevant or mindblowing, but I just wanted to put it out there. Trying to find more commentary on the show to see how other people view it.

For the last year of school I was in a secret relationship with Mr Garrity. Although I've actually learned I wasn't the only one. Welcome Back Event-ish???

Hello, hello, my lovely constant readers! As some of you might have read in my earlier reply, as of Friday, I have both hands back. They’re not as good yet as they used to be, despite the fact that I’ve always recovered from injuries and sickness monstrously fast in my past (kind of a little upset about that, ngl), but I’m still super stoked about it. I can finally get back on here 😊 I have sincerely missed all of you and I’ve grown to miss the blog and to be genuinely excited to get back on here, with a much better mindset and view towards writing than when I was last on here, which is great for all involved!

So, to celebrate myself a little and to celebrate my return to the blog and my returned love for it, even if it might be very self-centered to celebrate yourself, I’m holding a kind of event. While there’s more prompts, it’s smaller in scale than most of my other ones but that’s what works for me right now. I will admit that a large amount of the prompts I’m accepting for the event are largely fandom-based writing and some admin prompts, but I did my best to toss up a couple general character prompts and a couple NSFW character prompts as well. Again, it really comes down to this being what works best for me at the moment. I will be on tonight to write what I can until my hands either start hurting or I tire myself out, but I’ll accept these requests using the prompts for probably about a week or so. I’m playing it by ear but promise I will post to shut down the event properly when I feel it should be. Until then, please feel free to send in as many requests as you want. As always, you can still send in regular requests – they just might take longer to write and might join the queue, while event asks won’t be going into the queue. Please, guys, I added ‘rules’ I guess you would call them after each prompt, so please try to follow them. I feel I should be twiddling my fingers and gazing up at you all coyly while saying this but please be gentle with me. Please be patient and gentle with me while I get back into writing on the blog and please keep being the amazing people you are 😊

As a note – I’ve finished up reading/watching the source material for 07-Ghost, The Covenant, The Outsiders, and Wind Breaker since my accident. I literally just finished the last updated chapter of Wind Breaker on my manga app this morning (167) and ohhhh my GOD! So fucking good and I’m a little obsessed. I’m also almost done rereading Eyeshield 21 – about 50 more chapters to go because I got distracted while reading it. Even though I know I shouldn’t be showing favouritism, I will admit that requests for any of those fandoms might be the first ones I focus on.
